At Newby, the attention we pay to how our tea is packed and presented is a natural complement to the care we take when selecting the tea. The quality and effectiveness of our packaging is an essential component of Newby’s overall commitment to supplying the best quality product to our customers.

Newby’s packaging is not only unique in its design but also in the level of protection  and preservation it affords to the tea,  ensuring that Newby tea reaches the customer with its freshness, flavour and fragrance retained.  Newby offers a range of packaging formats:

LEAF TEA IN CADDIES AND CARTONS

Leaf tea is packed and heatsealed in pouches made from heavy gauge aluminium foil, which preserves the character of the tea and provides an
extremely effective barrier against air and moisture absorption.

Newby’s metal caddies or heavyweight cardboard cartons are not only attractive but at the same time offer extra protection to the integrity of the delicate tea leaves.

TEA BAGS

Newby teabags are tagged and individually packed and sealed in aluminium foil-based laminated sachets to guarantee that every
teabag preserves the fresh state in which it is packed up until the
moment of drinking.

Newby teabags are packed either 25 or 50 to a box in heavyweight, high quality cardboard cartons which are then cellowrapped.

LEAF TEA IN CATERING PACKS

500 gram “saddlepacks” are available in most of our popular leaf blends. These are made from heavy gauge aluminium foil which is packed with a central seal, thus allowing for only half the pack to be opened at a time to minimise exposure of tea to the air.

Other specialist teas and herbal blends are supplied to the catering

industry in 150 – 250g paper and foil lined pouches.
