Newby Teas - Tea and Polo
The Cartier 2010 Coronation Cup

Whilst the true origins of polo are hazy, its historic links with tea and India are well recorded; in the 1850s, British tea planters discovered the game of polo in Manipur on the Burmese border with India and founded the world's first polo club at Silchar.

Tea also plays its part in today’s polo as players and audience alike enjoy a refreshing cup between Chukkas.

Newby has entered the glamorous world of polo participating in the Cartier activities at Windsor Great Park. Attended by members of the British Royal family and celebrities from around the world, The Cartier is a superb event and Newby teas was present with 100m2 electronic banners displaying attractive images of teas and caddies, a smart retail outlet and the serving of Newby teas at various outlets.
