Newby's production facility in Kolkata
In order to have the ability to store and
preserve teas under the most appropriate
conditions for each individual tea type, the
group constructed a unique "state of the
art" preservation and packing facility in
Kolkata, India, which was formally
inaugurated in November 2005 and is
operated by Newby Teas Overseas Ltd.



This facility is equipped with the latest
packing and climate control technology to
ensure that our teas are preserved in
optimum conditions of temperature and
humidity prior to packing. In contrast to
other suppliers of 'premium' teas, the
location of this facility in close proximity to
the key growing regions and enables
Newby to rapidly place the freshly
processed teas within the correct storage
conditions in readiness for packing.

The facility is accredited with HACCP, ISO
and BRC certifications and has received a
"Grade A" rating following its BRC
